Sunny Singh was last seen in Adipurush. The actor had teamed up for the first time with Prabhas. Apart from this, he was also seen alongside Kartik Aaryan in Pyaar Ka Punchnama and its sequel along with Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety. On the other hand, Kriti Kharbanda is known for delivering light-hearted roles in films like Housefull 4, Pagalpani, and several more. The actress was also loved for her character in Shaadi Me Zaroor Aana. Now, Kriti is all set to star alongside Sunny Singh in Abir Sengupta’s Risky Romeo.

The film is a modern-day saga of existential crisis and a neo-noir comic tragedy. Abir Sengupta will produce the film with Anushree Mehta under their banner Jaadugar Films, in association with PR Motion Pictures.

Sunny Singh and Kriti Kharbanda to team up for the first time on-screen

Previously, Abir Sengupta directed the Kiara Advani starrer Indoo Ki Jawaani and also produced Radhika Apte’s Mrs. Undecover. The upcoming movie, Risky Romeo, will depict human behavior in a very unusual manner. Apart from this, the audience will be up for a delight as Kriti and Sunny will be seen in never-seen-before avatars. The craft promises to be a genre that is rarely seen in Hindi cinemas.

Speaking about the project, Abir said, “The script is filled with dark humour, outlandish characters and a surreal treatment. When I narrated the script to Sunny, he instantly picked up the essence of the film. My business partner and producer of the film Anushree Mehta then introduced me to Kriti. She too instantly connected with the script and I landed both my lead cast. After toiling with multiple stories and ideas for almost 3 years, Risky Romeo was something that had my heart and soul and I knew that I had to make this film.”

Sunny Singh was last seen in Prabhas starrer Adipurush. The film turned out to perform well at the box office but received a mixed response from the netizens. Apart from him, Kriti Kharbanda was seen in 14 Phere.
