On Saturday, Kangana took to Instagram to respond to Taapsee’s comments about her upbringing. However, she did not name the actress directly. Kangana’s Stories read, “One Sasti copy is out and about with her upcoming B grade film but as usual only headline point with the media is Kangana Ranaut, but today she crossed all limits shamelessly ridiculing my upbringing /parents. I think all parents do their best and I never bring any parents into arguments, but today I ask her why her parents couldn’t give her originality like mine? Why a cheap Sasti copy? Feel sorry for her efforts.”

She continued, “Many people from shady, cramped-up outskirts with questionable backgrounds question my upbringing and malign my parents, who hail from a renowned Rajput zamindar family and were raised by educated, distinguished parents. My choice to start from scratch is personal; why attack my parents for that?”

Kangana later deleted these Stories. But the comments had already sparked widespread attention.
