The #MeToo movement in India has shaken the entire industry and many women have come out in public to name and shame their perpetrators. The names in this #MeToo movement have shocked everyone as the likes of Nana Patekar, Alok Nath, Sajid Khan have been accused of sexual harassment. Now, coming to the Tanushree Dutta-Vivek Agnihotri case, there is a new development as the director Vivek Agnihotri has confessed to his crime and as a result Tanushree Dutta will be filing an FIR.

The decision to file an official complaint comes weeks after Vivek Agnihotri slapped Tanushree Dutta with a notice after the actress accused him of sexual misconduct during the shooting of the film ‘Chocolate’. According to reports, Vivek had allegedly told Tanushree to  strip off her clothes and dance to give cues to an actor. Tanushree Dutta’s counsel, Nitin Satpute told a leading daily that,“Tanushree never pressed any charges against Agnihotri at the press conference.”

The report further states that, Tanushree Dutta’s lawyer Satpute told the daily that it was Vivek, who himself confessed to the crime in a ten page notice that he had sent Tanushree and stated that ‘the director was none other than me’. Satpute has now said that they (Tanushree) will be filing an FIR as the director himself has owned up to the charges.

Tanushree, it seems, is fighting a lot of battles. After filing a Rs. 10 crore defamation case against Rakhi Sawant, Rakhi has retaliated and filed a Rs 50 crore counter suit against her.
