Vicky Kaushal To Join 3 Idiots Sequel?

Vicky Kaushal is reportedly in advanced talks to join the much-anticipated sequel to 3 Idiots, tentatively titled 4 Idiots. According to Pinkvilla sources, the actor is being considered for a pivotal role as the ‘fourth idiot’, alongside the original trio Aamir Khan, R. Madhavan, and Sharman Joshi.

The film, helmed by Rajkumar Hirani, is currently in the writing phase, with Hirani collaborating once again with Abhijat Joshi on the screenplay. The makers are reportedly taking a careful approach to ensure the story aligns with the original’s legacy. The sequel is expected to go on floors in the latter half of 2027.

Vicky, who has earlier worked with Hirani on Sanju and Dunki, is said to have responded positively to the script. Insiders suggest his character will add a fresh emotional layer to the narrative alongside Aamir and the returning cast. “Kaushal is keen on sharing screen space with Aamir Khan and contributing to a franchise that enjoys immense recall value,” a source shared.

The report further reveals that “Multiple meetings between Vicky, Aamir, and Hirani have already taken place, and Vicky has verbally agreed to play the part of 4th Idiot, though the timelines have to align for the entire ensemble.”

Before stepping into this project, Vicky is expected to complete work on Mahavatar, which is slated to begin production soon and will demand a long shooting schedule.
