‘PM Narendra Modi’ has now received a huge relief from the Delhi High Court. On Monday i.e. today, the Delhi High Court dismissed a plea seeking stay on the release of the film ‘PM Narendra Modi’. This decision was taken by the bench of Chief Justice Rajendra Menon and Justice Anup Jairam Bhambhani dismissed the plea filed by advocate Sujeet Kumar Singh.

The plea sought a direction from the Election Commission of India to act against the violation of the Model Code of Conduct by the filmmakers. As we are all aware, from April 11 onwards the voting for the Lok Sabha polls will begin.

The petition was addressed like this, “Small and regional parties will simply not be able to meet this kind of challenges or commission films that are similarly grand and released simultaneously in so many theatres.”

A few days back, Vivek Oberoi along with producer Sandip Ssingh met the Election Commission officials. The Election Commission of India (EC) had issued a showcause notice to the makers. This after opposition parties objected to film getting released amid the general elections.

‘PM Narendra Modi’s release has been advanced and now it will be hitting screens on April 5, 2019.
