Actress Zareen Khan’s mother, Parveen Khan, is no more. The actor’s team – in their statement, revealed that Parveen passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 after battling a prolonged illness. Scroll below to read the statement released by the actress’ team.
Zareen Khan’s Mother Passes Away
Zareen Khan’s PR team released a statement confirming the demise of the actress’ mom. Their statement read, “This is to inform that our beloved Ms Parveen Khan, mother of Zareen Khan and Sana Khan, has departed peacefully to her heavenly abode on the 8th of April (sic).”
Ever since her mother’s diagnosis, Zareen had been vocal and had often taken to social media to ask fans to pray for Parveen’s speedy recovery. As per reports, the actress’ mother’s funeral was to be held at 10 am today, April 8, in Mumbai’s Versova.
In 2016, after Parveen Khan underwent heart surgery, Zareen Khan had reportedly decided to take a break from shoots to look after her.
Zareen’s Bond With Her Mother
Zareen shared a strong bond with her mother. On her mom’s birthday in 2021, the actress shared a sweet pic and a love-filled note on social media. It read, “Everyday is Mother’s Day for me bcoz i don’t need one particular day to show how much I love you Mommy . I thank God each & everyday for making you my mom. You are my world , my lifeline , my everything… feels like I’m still connected to you by the umbilical cord and I always will”
Zareen was reportedly the sole breadwinner of her family and was responsible for everyone at home. The actress’ mother was incredibly proud of her, and the two shared a close bond.
