Avatar-The Way of Water remained steady on the first Tuesday at the box office, in terms of collections. The movie directed by James Cameron was released in theatres worldwide, on December 17. Avatar The Way of Water saw a normal drop in the first Tuesday collections at the box office, on the fifth day of the release.

The James Cameron directorial surpassed the 100 crore mark in the first weekend collections. And, it continues to inch closer to the 150 crore mark now. The Kate Winslet movie collected an excellent 16.25 crore nett on the first Tuesday. Avatar 2 made a total collection of 162.50 crore nett in the five days of the release. And, the film is unstoppable at the box office.

However, even with the 10% drop in the first Tuesday collections, before the end of the first week, Avatar 2 is looking forward to a phenomenal collection of over 200 crore nett. Going by the reports and the collections, the James Cameron directorial got a bumper opening of 40 crore nett and followed the same trend, with a minor rise in business, by the end of the first week.

Sunday – 47,00,00,000 apprx

TOTAL – 1,62,50,00,000 apprx

According to a Box Office India report, “The film is now established at the box office and will do well for sometime with Saturday and Sunday powering the collections of the film. The film is driven by the collections in the South India territories but Hindi circuits are also good. Just they dont match up to the collections in the South.
