When Punjab Kings’ Harpreet Brar took a dig at Akshay Kumar by saying, “Paise ke liye turban nahi pehnte hum”

Punjab Kings’ all-rounder Harpreet Brar, who stood strong against Royal Challengers Bangalore’s batting line up with his three wickets in the IPL match at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Friday; is very proud that he wears a turban. The 25-year-old left-arm spinner made sure to make that known when he replied to a netizen who compared him to Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar.

Not just that, Brar also took a dig at Akshay as he said that he does not wear a turban just for money. A user messaged Harpreet saying that he looks a lot like Akshay Kumar’s character Raftaar Singh from Singh in Bliing, “Paaji aap singh is bling ke Akshay Kumar dikhte ho.” But Harpreet did not take it as complimet as he shared the message on his Twitter account and wrote back that he supports farmers and would not don a turban for cash, “Paise k liye Turban nhi pehnte hum #isupportfarmers.”

Meanwhile, talking about Akshay; he has just recovered from Covid-19 and along with his wife Twinkle Khanna, the couple have been supporting the Covid-19 victims. Akshay and Twinkle recently donated 100 oxygen concentrators to help out with the crisis in the pandemic. Apart from that Akshay also donated Rs 1 crore to Gautam Gambhir’s foundation to help the Covid-19 victims.
