Vikrant Massey starrer 12th Fail is taking the box office by storm, demonstrating its resounding success. The impactful narrative and stellar performances have garnered praise from audience and critics. After ending the first week with a bang, the movie kickstarted the second week on a winning note. On its 2nd Friday, the film achieved a remarkable feat by collecting an impressive 1.75 crores net, solidifying its position as a true crowd-pleaser. Its total collection sums up to Rs 14.75 crores.

With the second Friday collection, the movie witnessed 35% growth and surpassed its opening Friday performance. On first day, the film minted Rs 1.10 crores. With its second Friday collection, the movie remained unaffected by new releases UT69 and Aankh Micholi. To note, the movie witnessed a clash with Tejas and Sajini Shinde Ka Viral Video. However, 12th Fail remained first choice of cine-goers.

The film is a true story based on Anurag Pathak’s best-selling novel, of the same name. The movie is inspired by millions of true stories of Indian students who attempt the world’s toughest competitive exam, UPSC.  It traces the journey of IPS Officer Manoj Kumar Sharma and IRS Officer Shraddha Joshi.

12th Fail review

Bollywood Bubble gave 12th Fail 3.5 stars. A part of the review read, “12th Fail is worth a watch, for sure. It is Vikrant Massey’s honesty as an actor and Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s sensibility as a filmmaker that makes it a hit. This tale of an underdog hero deserves appreciation and the audience’s love and we definitely need more realistic films like this in our cinema.”

Apart from Vikrant Massey, 12th fail stars Medha Shankr and Anant V Joshi in pivotal roles. It was released in theatres on 27th October. The film is now released in cinemas in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada.
