Avatar The Way Of Water has recorded huge first week collections at the box office and is doing tremendously well. The James Cameron directorial, releasing theatrically on December 14 is now inching closer to the 200 crore nett mark. The film had a huge first week and held up pretty well over the weekdays. Avatar The Way Of Water had opened with collections of 40 crore nett, at the box office.

The James Cameron directorial saw a collection of 12.75 crore nett on Thursday, with a drop in collections. The film went on to collect 14.25 crore nett on Wednesday. And, the collections of the seventh day saw a further drop from the sixth day collections.

Despite a huge contribution from the South, as per a Box Office India report, Avatar is comfortably in the double digits on the last day of the week. Avatar 2 continues to hold up pretty well over the weekdays, even though the fall in the first Monday collections.

According to the report, “The South had phenomenal collections over the weekend so it looked like these markets will drop off more on the weekdays but the trend has been strong strong though by Thursday the hindi circuits were giving 55% of the business and Mumbai circuit finally went ahead of Nizam / Andhra in terms of daily collections.

Meanwhile, Avatar 2 stars Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldaña, Stephen Lang, Joel David Moore, CCH Pounder, Giovanni Ribisi, Dileep Rao, and Matt Gerald, and Kate Winslet among others.

Bollywood Bubble gave the movie Avatar The Way Of Water a rating of four stars in the review.
