The movie Brahmastra starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt is all set for a Rs 35 crore plus opening at the box office. The early estimates of the Ayan Mukerji directorial are out. And, the early estimates look promising. The advance bookings of the Dharma Productions backed movie was on course to set a new record with the massive opening day advance bookings of an original Hindi movie. The Karan Johar produced movie, that was released theatrically on Friday, September 9, is looking forward a fabulous weekend if it continues to maintain its successful run at the box office.

A Box Office India report has said that Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer Brahmastra has taken an excellent opening of around 45-50%, in terms of collections. The report said that with many cinemas, the Ayan Mukerji directorial is seeing 100 plus audience in the morning shows which has been a long time, coming especially for an outright Hindi movie. As per the report, the movie is turning to be Ranbir’s highest opening as tickets are higher now, in comparison to that of the film Sanju.

Earlier, another box office report stated that the Karan Johar produced movie has recorded the fourth highest advance of all time, for Hindi films. Apart from this record-breaker, the movie has also recorded the second highest ever for original content. The top three movies above Brahmastra are KGF 2 , Bahubali – The Conclusion and War.

Directed by Ayan Mukerji, Brahmastra features Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Nagarjuna Akkineni and Mouni Roy in key roles. Shah Rukh Khan is set to make a cameo appearance with the movie. The movie will mark SRK’s first silver screen appearance after a long break.
