Ranbir Kapoor BEATS Shah Rukh Khan: Animal surpasses Day 1 collection of Pathaan as it earns Rs 116 crores at the worldwide box office

Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna starrer Animal released in theatres worldwide on Dec 1. The Sandeep Reddy Vanga also stars Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol. The film opened up on a good note at the box office. On its opening day, Ranbir’s has collected Rs 116 crores at the global box office. Yes, you read that right! With these figures, Animal beats Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan which was released earlier this year. For the uninitiated, Pathaan had collected Rs 106 crores on day 1 at the worldwide box office.

Given how Ranbir’s film has performed on its opening day, Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal will smash more box office records in the coming days for sure.

The Sandeep Reddy Vanga secures third spot as highest first day grosser worldwide. Prabhas starrer Adipurush collected Rs 136.83 crores on its opening day at the global box office. It is followed by Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan which collected Rs 129.06 crores.

Reacting to the box office numbers, fans shared their excitement. A fan commented, “Wooooooo.” Another fan commented, “Bahut tagri mvie hai yrrr.” “Blockbuster Animal,” wrote a fan. Another fan commented, “Loved the movie.” “Sandeep Reddy Vanga things (fire emojis),” wrote a fan.

For the unversed, Ranbir Kapoor plays the role of Ranvijay Singh, who can go to any lengths for his father Balbir Singh (played by Anil Kapoor). Rashmika Mandanna plays Ranbir’s wife and Bobby Deol is the antagonist.

Bollywood Bubble gave Animal ‘4’ stars. A part of the movie reads, “Animal is a must-watch and that too on the big screen. For the love of Ranbir Kapoor, nothing else will do, you can watch this film again on the OTT space.”
