A video of the moment is now going viral on social media, showing the singer and his wife leaving the polling booth. The paparazzi approached them with a few questions, and Arijit responded in a fun manner. Notably, he chose not to show his inked finger to the media.

“What message can I give in the middle of voting right now? People will start thinking I’ve become a politician myself,” he joked in Bengali.

When photographers requested him to display his inked finger, Arijit politely declined with a smile, saying that his presence at the polling station was enough proof that he had voted. He chuckled, “I’ve already cast my vote — now you want me to show my finger too?” He greeted the photographers warmly and urged them to cover the democratic process responsibly.

In the viral video, the paparazzi asked Arijit Singh about his voting experience and even requested a message for the people, given that they had come from afar. The singer, known for his hit song Kesariya, laughed and said that if he shared any message during voting, it might cause chaos. He added that he felt it would make him look like a politician.

Politely declining further comment, Arijit explained that his presence at the voting centre was proof enough that he had cast his ballot. When pressed to show his inked finger, he refused with a smile, reiterating that his attendance was the real proof.
