Aaditi Pohankar is an Indian actress who appears in Hindi and Tamil films and web series. She had her breakthrough role alongside Riteish Deshmukh in the Marathi action film Lai Bhaari (2014). She gained wider attention for her roles in the Hindi web series She and Aashram (both 2020–present). In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, Aaditi S Pohankar opens up on how important it is to have an intimate coordinator while filming intimate scenes.

Aaditi S Pohankar Opens Up On How Important An Intimate Coordinator

When asked if someone like an intimate coach is present when shooting scenes, Aaditi S Pohankar said, “It is see, it is again to the next point that I was going to talk about is your co-actors, like Chandan and Bobby sir. Yeah, they both were more concerned about me and how I am feeling and I vice versa. So that was completely by luck, by God’s grace, because the moment that happens, that you know and there’s a vibe, you don’t have to do anything. You just have to feel it, and the other person feels it. So even if, the co-actor does not do anything, you feel it from that co-actor; that’s when the game is gone.”

Continuing, the actress said, “Like, then it is like bhav paanch gana phir toh kuch nahi ho sakta phir bhi as an actor, you have to forget that, wear a cloak and do it. But it is tough, it is not easy, it is very tough because you have to get into that space with that quite you have to maintain people are watching you, people are doing whatever or actor who is ka matlab yani insan nahi ho yaar sabse badi feelings toh aarahi hai naa wahi toh kaam hai mera yeah. I have to portray a different range.”

The Aashram star said, “The camera is already staring, yeah, already staring and some close ups and sometimes. So you are doing it with the camera like you are doing some scenes with the camera. So it is very tough. But I think that if you look at it as in that what I do is that I flow with the characters graph. If I flow with the characters graph. No, I don’t think that mere ko pata hai aaj Pammi Baba Ji ke saath ye karne vali hai. Mein purna roop se samarpit hoon aur ek vahaan pe phone lagaane vali hai aur unko record karne vali hai ye mere dimag mein hai toh mein us scene ko us tarike se kar leti.”

She added further,” I just very politely say that please empty the room and I say it like 50,000 times if need be simple because log boldenge nahi yaar, why you are doing so much? That I am like, no, I can’t do it, I can’t I can do everything else this I can’t do. If somebody is watching, I know I can’t do it. I see it, and I think it is a hard boundary. It is not your any other ordinary scene. Yeah, that is there. But what happens is everything these days is in a hurry right? So in a hurry what happens is that you can’t tell 5 people to go out. Then I usually talk to the DOP, and I say, ‘This is the problem’ with Amit sir, and in with Chandan Kauli sir, we should be like.”

In conclusion, Aaditi said, “And with Prakash Sir, it was always he himself was like, ‘Hatao sabko!’ So I should be like are wah sab log chale gaye sahi hai toh wo jo Chandan aur meri scenes itne smoothly kaise hua wo ek ek take main huye, just one take. Chandan is fab, is a fabulous, I think a great actor of course. And then as you said, if you catch the intent right. Yeah, exactly. So catch the intent right, It really doesn’t bother you. In fact, if you if I feel if somebody comes, I am sure intimacy directors are placed for a reason. But if they come and they start telling me something I will play on my head. Maybe I don’t know, maybe that can happen.”
