Arjun Bijlani opened up about the moment he reunited with his son, Ayaan, during the family week. In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, he recalled how seeing Ayaan gave him a surge of motivation, calling it the emotional push he needed amid the show’s intense atmosphere. Speaking fondly of his wife, Neha Swamy Bijlani, Arjun shared how her unseen efforts and support outside the show deeply moved him. Scroll down to read what he said and watch the full interview.
Arjun Bijlani On Son Ayaan’s Visiting Him In Rise And Fall
When asked about meeting his son during the family week in Rise And Fall, Arjun Bijlani said, “So basically jab family week hua tha, Ayaan aaya tha. Mujhe laga dono (Ayaan aur Neha) aa jaayenge, but unfortunately, they were sending only one person. So they sent Ayaan, and I was more than happy to meet him. In fact, I was dying to hug him — I was very, very happy when I met him. Woh ek energy mil jaati hai, ek push milta hai, kyunki show mein itna kuch ho raha hota hai aapke saath. Us time main kaafi upset tha, and jab maine Ayaan ko dekha, I was like, ‘Ab toh jeetna hi hai!’ Aur usne bhi bola tha jab hum walk kar rahe the, ‘You better win and come!'”
He continued, “Organically, woh show dekh raha tha, toh usko laga… aur mujhe laga, yaar, 10 saal ka bachcha Aditya wahan apni mummy ki kasam kha raha tha ki usne toh dhakka diya hi nahi, koi planning hi nahi thi. Dhanshree ne bhi bola tha, you know, she told so many people that we never planned anything. Main toh sirf apne dare ke baare mein baat kar raha tha. Aur poora clipping bhi hai jahan woh Arjun ko bol rahi hai, “Main dhakka de dungi.” So I don’t know how they can do that. Anyway, mujhe laga shayad mere bachche ko samajh nahi aaya properly. Toh maine show pe bhi kaha tha, since he swore on his mom. But jab main bahar aaya aur maine sab dekha, it was really, really sad to see something like that. And that’s one of the reasons why I’m not in touch with anybody — kyunki honestly, there’s no character in doing something like that, you know what I mean?”
Arjun On Neha’s Support
Talking about his wife, Neha Swamy Bijlani’s support during the show, Arjun said, “Neha se milne ka jo desperation tha, woh badhta hi ja raha tha. Bachche se mil liya tha, lekin wife — jo life partner hoti hai — uski ahmiyat alag hoti hai. Sirf usse dekh lena, aur kuch nahi, bas usse dekh lena hi kaafi tha. Jab main bahar aaya, she was there for the finale, and I was very, very happy to see her. Finale mein jab woh aayi, toh mujhe laga, ‘Yaar, agar main yahan se trophy nahi jeeta, toh usko kitna bura lagega,’ kyunki show mein mere saath bahut kuch hua tha.”
Concluding, he said, “Main bas yeh hi hope kar raha tha ki main show jeet jaun, and finally jab jeeta, hum dono ne ek dusre ko hug kiya, aur uski aankhon mein aansu the. Mujhe nahi pata tha ke bahar woh bhi itni mehnat kar rahi hai, kyunki humne kabhi milke aisa decide nahi kiya tha ke woh interviews degi ya kuch karegi. She has never done anything like that. Lekin usne apne aap se sab kuch manage kar liya. Bahar aake jab main apne doston se mila, sab keh rahe the, ‘You don’t know how hard she worked outside, she’s done so much.’ So thank you, Neha — that’s all I can say. Baaki jo kehna tha, main personally keh chuka hoon.”
Arjun Bijlani won Rise and Fall hosted by Ashneer Grover.
