Divyanka Tripathi recalls the time when revengeful stories were planted against her

During her initial days, Divyanka recalled a time when revengeful stories used to be planted. Speking about the same, she says, “Mai uss baare me kaafi affect hoti thi. Agar aapka koi chhota mota lafda ho gaya, toh kayi baar revengeful news dalwa di jaati thi, jo ki kaafi hurt kartti thi.” (I used to be affected a lot. When you get into small banters, a lot of time revengeful news would be planted against you, which would hurt a lot)

She recalls the time when she was in a makeup room with 6-7 actresses sitting on a sofa, full of bugs. And the bed bugs were troubling her co-actress at that time and she used to be in rashes. Divyanka says it didn’t matter to her because she used to sleep on the floor. But there came a time when she spoke about it. She recalls not asking for different rooms for them, but the basics. The news was a fire when she spoke about it a few times.

Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya speaks about being exploited during her initial days

Further, Divyanka also spoke about being exploited and how she saved herself. Speaking about negativity and facing struggles, Divyanka said, “Struggles toh zaahir si baat hai aap jab naye hote ho toh aapka advantage lene ke liye dus log aa jaate hai. Aur wahi aapki shayad parvarish hai jo kaam aati hai jo aapko sikhati hai ke adjust karo, utna ke aapka kaam acha ho aur aapko kaam karne ke baad acha mehsoos ho. Lekin humari parvarish hume ye bhi sikhati hai ke kab mana karna hai. Toh, wo mujhe malum tha bachpan se ke mujhe kya kaam karna hai aur kya nahi. Toh, mai kisi ek prakaar ke exploitation se toh bach gayi yaa maine apne aap ko khud hi cushion up kar liya. I used to save myself.

She added, “Lekin jaha baat hai contractual terms ki, I’ve gotten exploited a lot. Log kaafi fayda uthate hai. Aap naye hote ho toh aapke hours yaa fir aap agar bimar ho, you wouldn’t be let to go home and take rest. Because for them, you are almost like a slave. But, ye uss zamane ki baat kar rahi hu.” (When you are new, people come to take your advantage. It’s your upbringing that teaches you to adjust and you feel good about your work. But, the upbringing also teaches us when to say ‘no’. Since childhood, I knew what work I wanted to do and what not to do. So, I saved myself from one exploitation and cushioned up myself. When it comes to contractual terms, I have been exploited a lot. People use you a lot)

She said, “Mujhe yaad hai ke hum jab apne pehle promo shoot ke liye gaye the, mere ek seh kalakaar ko flight ticket mili thi aur mai train me gayi thi. Toh Benaras tak mai aur mere seh kalakaar train me baith kar gaye. Humne bahot enjoy kiya aur hum kuch seekh kar hi waha pahoche. Ek taraf mai complain kar sakti hu, lekin mai complain nahi karti iss baare me.(I recall travelling with my co-star for a promo shoot. The co-star was given a flight ticket and I travelled in a train. Till Benaras, I and my other co-star travelled in train and we enjoyed a lot. One side I can complain about it, but I don’t complain about it)
