Genelia Deshmukh made her comeback last year with the Marathi Film Ved. With that, she proved she was here to stay. Now, Genelia will next be seen in the film Trial Period. The actress left an unforgettable mark as her character Aditi from the movie Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na. She starred alongside Imran Khan. The film went on to define the meaning of friendship and love and even after 15 years continues to do so. During an exclusive chat with Bollywood Bubble, Genelia Deshmukh shared her reflections on 15 years of Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na, teasing the much-anticipated comeback of her co-actor Imran Khan after a break.

Genelia Deshmukh reflects on 15 years of Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na

Talking about Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na completing 15 years, Genelia expressed her surprise and genuine realization about the passage of time, stating that she had no idea it had been 15 years. She shared that the only realized it when people brought to her stories with fond memories associated with the film. The actress said, “I realized that there are so many people who have lived their lives through the film.”

She further added, “The beauty of films is 15 years later people still find you or Aditi or meow, they still love you the same way they did 15 years before. That to me as an actor is gratifying to a large extent and also something which makes me want to act every day.”

Genelia talks about Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na co-star Imran Khan and his comeback

When asked if she is in touch with Imran Khan and if have they planned a reunion on the film completing 15 years, she said, “No, but we meet in school na. His child and my children are in the same school. But having said so Imran enjoyed directing.”

Genelia also opened up about Jaane Tu…Ya Jaane Na co-star Imran Khan’s comeback, she said, “I suppose he has taken a break but you never know what form he will come back in. It’s nice to meet him, whenever I meet him it’s an interesting conversation.”

Imran Khan was last seen in the movie Katti Batti alongside Kangana Ranaut in the year 2015. After which, he decided to take a break. His come-back is highly anticipated by fans. If Imran makes a come-back we certainly love to see him on-screen with Genelia again.

Genelia Deshmukh is all set to star in Trial Period alongside Manav Kaul. Directed by Aleya Sen, the movie also stars child actor Zidane Braz. In addition, Gajraj Rao, Shakti Kapoor and Sheeba Chaddha play pivotal roles. Trial period will premiere on Jio Cinema on July 21.
