When asked about Shiv Thakare’s comment on her almost n*de fashion sense and that her family should intervene, Khushi Mukherjee said, “Mujhe pasand nahi aaya, theek hai. Itna bola, ab chale jaate hain. Unke maa-baap unko kuch nahi bolte, hum kya bolein? Arre kitne gaon se uth ke log aa jaate hain. Aur bol bhi kaun raha hai? Irony is that, jo khud gaon se uth ke aaya hai. Batao, yahi hota hai na ki aap jo hote ho, aap doosron mein bhi wahi dekhte ho. Ek chor ko poori duniya chor ki nazar se dikhti hai, ek sadhu ko poori duniya sadhu ki nazar se. Aap jo hote ho, aapko duniya usi nazar se dikhai deti hai.”

She added, “Toh khair, inke liye toh main andhi ban jaati hoon, mujhe fark nahi padta. Uorfi ko bhi beech mein le aate hain, tab toh uske liye bhi bolte the, ab bolte hain ‘She was creative.’ Yahi hai na ki chadhte suraj ko sab salaam karte hain. Aapko kya lagta hai, maan lo main aise kapde pehen rahi hoon aur is time pe koi Karan Johar ki movie kar rahi hoti ya show kar rahi hoti ya kuch, kisi ki himmat hoti mere baare mein bolne ki? Kisi ki nahi hoti, main likh ke de sakti hoon. But abhi jo bol rahe hain, wo sab ke good books mein rehna chahte hain. They don’t dare doing it na.”
