EXCLUSIVE: Nupur Sanon remembers late actor Satish Kaushik: When it comes to jazba of acting, he was a bachcha

Nupur Sanon made her OTT debut with the comedy series ‘Pop Kaun’. Late actor Satish Kaushik starred in the Disney+ Hotstar show ‘Pop Kaun’. In a recent exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, Nupur Sanon opened up on sharing screen space with Satish Kaushik. Nupur Sanon remembered Satish Kaushik as an actor who was very passionate about acting.

Nupur opens up on working with Satish

Nupur told us, “Honestly, at this point also it’s quite shocking. Like it’s not sunk in. But genuinely bolu mere kamaal ke, joh mere sabse favourite scenes hai na ‘Pop Kaun’ mein woh unke saath hai. And sabse tricky challenging scenes bhi unhi ke saath hai (Genuinely my amazing and favourite scenes in Pop Kaun are with him. My tricky challenging scenes are also with him)”

Nupur added, “Aur main ek cheez unke saath realize kari that when it comes to their jazba of acting na, he’s a bachcha. That’s what I felt. He was someone who was like so… aare sun tu rehearse karenge, hum rehearse kar lete hai. Yaar pehli baat toh na itne experienced actors na aapko as a newcomer darr lag raha hota hai ki mein bolu ki ‘Sir, mujhe rehearsal lagegi’. Mein darr rahi thi ke bhai samne wala insaan bole ki nayi nayi aayi hai lagegi type (I have realised one thing that when it comes to the passion for acting, he’s a child. That’s what I felt. He was someone who was like ‘listen let’s rehearse together.’ Firstly, he was so experienced that as a newcomer you feel afraid to tell them ‘Sir, I will need rehersal.’ So, I was afraid how to tell him)”

She went on to add, “So, he was very enthu about it. He was asking me ki mein na aise karunga, tu aise kar. I was like sir do you even need my validation ki kya karna hai, kaise karna hai. So I think, all in all it has been an honour and it’s really sad what happened. The day it happened, I got a voicenote from Farhad sir in the morning and I was not able to believe it. I was like ke kya bol rahe ho abhi 3 din pehle hi toh hum unke saath interviews de rahe the (3 days ago we were doing interviews with him). But since that time in all of our hearts, in our teams, it’s been like a tribute to him. I am very lucky that I got to work with him.”

Satish Kaushik died of a heart attack on 9th March, 2023. His death left everyone heartbroken.

Pop Kaun also stars Kunal Kemmu, Johnny Lever, Rajpal Yadav, Saurabh Shukla, Chunky Panday, Jamie Lever, and Ashwini Kalsekar.
