Manav Gohil On His Experience Working With R. Madhavan

When asked about his on-screen chemistry with R. Madhavan and how they managed to create such a strong bond, Manav Gohil shared, “Iska shrey main Aditya ( Dhar) ko dena chaahunga, because jis tarah se dono characters ko gaada hai, jis tarah se lekhan hai. And Madhavan himself is so perspective, woh script ko lekar jab hum discuss karte the, reading karte the, so he would definitely, you know, bring it out that ki is is line ko na aise kar lete hain ya yeh Manav bol le, main aise bol deta hoon, aise kuch kar lete toh I think these things worked out and that’s how the chemistry was set.”

He further added, “Madhavan is a very secure actor. Unhone kabhi yeh koshish nahi ki you know main bol deta hoon usko, you know, he was never like that. On the contrary, I remember that Madhavan decided on the spot. He told Aditya to let Sushant Bansal (Manav’s character) say this line, it will make more impact, then I will come with this. So, it was a great learning experience.”

Manav Gohil Reveals A Scene That He Was Not A Part Of Initially

Further elaborating on how Madhavan would suggest changes in certain scenes and dialogues to enhance their impact, Manav said, “Ek scene tha jahan pe Hamza ko hum dono milte hain beech mein. Jab woh Dubai mein meeting hoti hai. Toh, wahan pe ek line thi ki Hamza, now you have a free hand. Uska matlab tha ki uske baad joh kuch hota hai film mein, uske liye humne us point pe usko aazadi di ki ab khuleaam tumhein joh karna hai kar sakte ho. To woh line meri nahi thi.”

He continued, “Madhavan ko uske baad ek line mount karni thi. Toh usne bola woh line mujhe bolne kaha, kyuki woh mount nahi ho pa raha hai. Toh, you know, maybe he can say this line, then he can also be involved in the end. So is tarah se he did that for me. Otherwise, jaise joh lines thi, woh lines mein ek-ek shabd bhi change karke na, bahut meaning badal jata ha. Jaise ek line thi joh badi formal lag rahi thi us waqt. So Madhavan said that yeh bada woh lag raha hai ki yeh kyun bol raha hai tu? Toh then Aditya also came and said ki ek kaam kar na, usmein, arre daal do. Toh achanak se woh line ka meaning badal gaya mere liye. To woh scene abhi tak aaya nahi hai woh film mein. But these are small, small things that do work on such intricate details.”
