While shooting for Bajirao Mastani alongside Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra, this is what the actor claimed to see and shared about it in an interview with Deccan Chronicle, “I had a tough task ahead of me on that day of the shoot and I was praying hard to get it right. There was a black wall on the sets on which some white dust had settled and formed the pattern in the shape of Bajirao’s figure. It had the turban, the eyes, nose, the mooch and the arms. The resemblance was for all to see.”

The incident took place when the actor was shooting for ABCD 2. Varun along with the team of ABCD 2 was staying in a hotel where co-incidentally the legendary Frank used to stay. The actor was put up in a suit which is said to be haunted by the American singer. While he was sleeping in his room after a long tiring day, Varun heard some strange voices and the door creaked open. Sharing his experience, he said, “The suite was definitely haunted because at night I would hear someone singing and the doors would just fling open.”

During the release of Ghost Stories, Janhvi shared with the official Instagram handle of Netflix, “Apart from being a classic ghost story, the script resonated with me on a very deep level. The horror is more emotional and human than anything external. Something that spooked me out was that after we wrapped the shoot, about 10 of us fell really, really sick.”

Emraan Hashmi was holidaying in Matheran with his friends when they were staying in a hotel where there was nobody apart from them. They all heard someone screaming really loud. They went out of their room searching for the screaming man, but couldn’t find anyone. Emraan and his friends spent a restless night and the screaming wouldn’t stop. The next morning they left the place as soon as possible.

Kriti Sanon was left shaken on the sets of ‘Dilwale’ when her make-up artist felt an unearthly presence in her hotel room. She recalled that her makeup artist felt someone or something pushing her. Around the same time, a bottle of lotion fell off the table without anyone touching it. On picking it up and keeping it in its place, the bottle fell again and this time they swore that it wasn’t a shaky table or the wind. She was surprised as the table wasn’t moving, nor was there any wind. Later in the night, she felt that someone was pushing her and that’s when we all were spooked out!”

Sunny Leone also recalled an instance when she felt a presence.  In an interview with ETimes, Sunny said, “I was shooting for one of the seasons of Splitsvilla at a palace in Rajasthan. When we retired to our rooms for the night, I had sleep paralysis. I literally had to push myself to wake up, but I felt some presence holding me down. When it repeated for the third time, I just got up and yelled, ‘Leave me alone!’ It seems this one was a kind ghost as it did leave me alone and things were back to normal.”

Bipasha has been a part of many horror films but a spooky encounter left her shocked. The actress was shooting at Mukesh Mills and was practising her lines alone in a room but kept on forgetting it and felt someone was stopping her. Speaking to ETimes, she shared, “They got me out of the set, and they gave me some holy water and stuff like that. I slept in the vanity van for a while and then they called for pack-up. The next day, the crew did a pooja there, basically so that we could continue shooting, but even the pandit who did the pooja had an accident. So, after that, we didn’t complete the scene there; we shot it at a different location.”

Rajkummar Rao had an eerie experience on the haunted sets of his hit film ‘Stree’. The entire team came back from Madhya Pradesh’s Chanderi village with tales of paranormal activity going on during the shoot. Although warned by the locals, the team reportedly decided to face their fears and shoot through the nights. On shooting on a haunted street, the crew reportedly experienced some major technical glitches, equipment failure, lights flickering, bulbs shattering all through the night until dawn, when everything seemed to work smoothly again.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui was in for a shock while shooting for  Aatma – Feel It Around You with Bipasha Basu. The shooting involved a lot of spooky incidents that left the team in shock. The entire team also heard a woman singing while shooting for a scene but when they played the recording, there was no woman singing sound found.

Govinda claims that while shooting for one of his films at a hill station, he had a chilling encounter. After a long day of shooting, when the actor was resting in his room he woke up to see an old lady sitting on his chest! But, the lady vanished once he turned the lights on. But, here comes the spookiest part. Apparently, that very night, his room, which stayed clean and arranged throughout the day, automatically turned into a mess during the nighttime.

While shooting for the film 3G, one crew member from his team said that he saw someone standing beside him who later passed through him. Sharing his experience, Neil said, “So we were shooting at this one location which apparently is supposed to be haunted! And the unit boys did experience a presence. One of our light boys came running complaining that someone was standing by his side. And passed right through him. At first, we thought he was joking trying to create sensation but then when he sat trembling like a leaf is when we sat and heard him out.”
