The nation is celebrating the grand festival of Eid-Al-Fitr today. After a whole month of fasting the day of celebration is finally here and everyone is spending it with their loved ones. The only difference is that this time everyone is homebound and they will not be able to celebrate the festival with pomp and show as the previous years because of the deadly pandemic.
Bollywood movies are known for the grand representation of festivals. The celebration has always been on a large scale and the sam was for Eid in most movies that had a sequence of the festival. From ‘Tees Maar Khan‘ to Salman Khan‘s ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan‘ these movies have shown the best celebrations of Eid.
Here are five movies that showed the grand celebration of Eid
Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan starrer ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ that was released in 2015. The song ‘Aaj Ki Party’ sung by Mika Singh is one of the top songs in any Eid celebration playlist. The song comes towards the end of the movie and it is a total spirit lifter.
The Hrithik Roshan and Rishi Kapoor starrer was a blockbuster hit at the box office the movie had a song titled Shah Ka Rutba that showcased an Eid celebration. It is also heartbreaking as it featured Rishi Kapoor who left for his heavenly abode on 30th April 2020. Talking about the song that was sung by Sukhwinder Singh, Krishna Bewra and Anand Raj Anand, it perfectly portrays the celebratory spirit of Eid.
Ranbir Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor‘s debut movie ‘Saawariya’ had the perfect setting of an Eid celebration. It chronicles around a young woman who waits for her lover to return on Eid as the story unfolds. The song Yoon Shabnami was the perfect song that portrays the very spirit of the festival.
‘Tees Maar Khan’
Tees Maar Khan’s song ‘Wallah Re Wallah’ showcased the perfect celebration of Eid. The spirits were just amped up with Akshay Kumar and Salman Khan with Katrina Kaif who looked absolutely gorgeous. Wallah Re Wallah was portrayed against the backdrop of Eid celebrations topped the charts back then in 2010.
Jodhaa Akbar featuring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Hrithik Roshan included numerous soulful tracks but the one that stood out was the beautiful song ‘Khwaja Mere Khwaja’ that displayed the auspicious occasion of Eid.
