It is quite common for our Bollywood superstars to have stunt doubles when it comes to dangerous action sequences as well as scenes which require a high amount of skill and expertise such as in a precisely choreographed fight sequence. Some actors, however, like doing their own stunts and shots like these and have trained in the martial arts and become quite adept themselves.

Few actors train in martial arts to stay fit, or disciplined, some to be able to ace their on-screen performance, either way, this is surely another ace up their sleeve. In 2020, these stars have stayed home amidst pandemic and yet inspired all their fans to keep themselves fit by practising martial arts.

When you think of Bollywood action films, Akshay Kumar has to be your go-to superstar. His fitness obsession is common knowledge, as is his ability to absolutely nail each action sequence. Akshay Kumar learnt Shotokan Karate and Muay Thai in Hong Kong, and has a black belt for the same!

When Tiger Shroff made his big Bollywood debut with Heropanti, he sent fans into a frenzy with his unparalleled stunts as well as his chiselled physique. Not only is Tiger Shroff a trained Kalarippayattu, Kung Fu, and Krav Maga expert, but he also reportedly has a black belt in Taekwondo, and he often flaunts his martial art skills on social media.

He is famous for his gruelling fitness routine which he completely swears by. The actor has shown off his mastery of martial arts in many a movie and is a fan favourite when it comes to action sequences.

Actor Randeep Hooda is trained in Gatka, a Sikh martial art form, and has shown off some of his moves on Instagram as well. He reportedly began practising the ancient martial art for his film on the Battle of Saragarhi, which sadly didn’t materialise. However, the actor continues to practise the art form and was even open to teaching it to others.
