Like the previous year, this year too, the Covid-19 pandemic has taken many lives and also affected the livelihoods of many. In fact, the second wave of the noble Coronavirus has been the worst as many people have died due to the lack of oxygen.

Megastar Chiranjeevi has launched oxygen banks in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana to help Covid-19 patients. The oxygen banks will be available to the public in nearly seven districts on May 27. Chiranjeevi Charitable Trust will also be providing oxygen concentrators to several medical facilities for patients. Oxygen cylinders will be available in Anantapur, Guntur, Srikakulam, Vijayanagaram, Visakhapatnam, and West Godavari from today evening. Oxygen banks in Khammam and Karimnagar in Telangana are also functional from today itself.

The pics and videos have gone viral all over social media.

Sharing the video, the Acharya actor tweeted, “Mission begins. Let there be no deaths due to lack of life saving oxygen.”

His son, Ram Charan will be looking after the operations of these oxygen banks. “He will be supervised by our eye and blood banks. There will be tracking devices to monitor the oxygen cylinders’ arrival. We will provide cylinders for wherever there’s an urgent need for the same,” said Chiranjeevi.

Last year, Chiranjeevi set up the Corona Crisis Charity to help out-of-work daily-wage workers from Tollywood.
