Bollywood Bubble Rating: 3.5/5

Sometimes, dreaming big is the only way out. For Anand Kumar’s students, dreaming big was their ticket to a good life. They battled fear and adversities to come out trumps in a story that’s been expertly handled.

It isn’t easy to make a story about an educational program and give it a thriller like feeling. Vikas Bahl’s deft direction and Hrithik Roshan’s superb acting somehow manage to make ‘Super 30’ extremely gripping.

The movie starts by showing Anand Kumar (Hrithik Roshan) as a brilliant mathematician who gets accepted by the Cambridge University in England. Unfortunately, he can’t arrange the funds and his dreams turn to dust. He is then discovered by a coaching institute maven who gives him a wad of cash and asks him to teach IIT aspirants.

Everything is going smoothly until Anand decides to start his own coaching centre and teach 30 students from underprivileged backgrounds. After that, everyone tries to make his life hell but Anand and his students march on regardless.

Hrithik imbibes the spirit of Anand Kumar and you can feel him possess the mad passion required to pull off such a feat. The movie is inspiring on many levels and will be remembered for a long time to come. Surely, if I ever feel like there is no hope left in life, I’ll come to this movie for comfort and reassurance. It’s a lovely tale that drives us to never give up and dream on regardless.

Final verdict:

While it is a must watch for students, others can enjoy it too.
