Akshaye Khanna is back as a villain

Bollywood actor Akshaye Khanna who had almost vanished from the big screen is all set to make a come back. Akshaye will soon be seen in a significant role in Rohit Dhawan’s upcoming film ‘Dishoom’. This time around he will not be depicting the role of a chocolate boy. The actor will be seen in an villainous avatar in the upcoming comedy.

After a five-year absence Akshaye Khanna was last seen in Farah Khan’s Tees Maar Khan, in which he had depicted the role of a actor pining for an Oscar. Now after a Five year hiatus he is all set to make a grand comeback.

Sources say,”It took a lot of cajoling to get the nod from Akshaye. He will play a smart-talking villain who rattles off one wisecrack after another. He liked the script and the modalities are fast being worked out between the producer, Sajid Nadiadwala, and Akshaye, who has asked for a sizable remuneration.”

Sources further added that, “The character has a flashy, slightly overthe-top wardrobe and Akshay will be seen in a completely new avatar. He hasn’t played such a flamboyant character before. The film goes on floors early next month and will be shot in India and abroad.”

Akshaye Khanna had played a villain in ‘Race’ too.
