Alia Bhatt to play hockey player in ‘Udta Punjab’

Bollywood’s petite actress Alia Bhatt had recently uploaded a picture of a hockey stick on Instagram. She had captioned it, “My new friend.” The picture had sent everyone guessing the reason behind. We have unveiled the secret of that Hockey stick. Alia will be seen essaying the role of a hockey player in her next, Udta Punjab, and she’s working hard to pull it off as a professional.

Sources said, “Alia has been regularly going for hokey training for about two hours in the morning. She has been doing so for over two weeks now. Alia trains in the morning from 7am-9am in order to avoid prying eyes.”

Directed by Abhishek Chaunbey, the film is set in Punjab and deals with the serious issues of drug abuse in the state.

Udta Punjab has Shahid Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Kareena Kapoor Khan essaying pivotal roles in the film.
