Jiah Khan’s case adjourned by sessions court till May 20

In the year 2013, Bollywood actress Jiah Khan, was found dead in her Juhu apartment and since then, her family is fighting for justice. ‘Hero’ actor and Jiah Khan’s then boyfriend, Sooraj Pancholi has been accused by the late actress’ family with the charges of murder. The case is on and hearings are being conducted. The recent update on this case is that the sessions court has adjourned her case till May 20.

According to reports, the sessions court today adjourned the case and pushed the date of hearing to May 20, 2016 as the hearing could not be completed in this session. Further, the reports stated that an advocated had been appointed to press charges against the star and he levied sections 302 (murder), 313 (Causing miscarriage without woman’s consent) and 376 (rape) against Sooraj. Pancholi’s lawyer defended the same, but the hearing could not be concluded today and hence, it has been pushed to May 20.

Earlier, Jiah Khan’s mother Rabia moved the High Court to set up a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the case afresh. The Bombay High Court had lifted the stay on trial of Sooraj Pancholi in the month of February.
