Shah Rukh Khan and Netflix

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s association with video-streaming giant Netflix goes back a long way. The superstar’s production house Red Chillies Entertainment had signed up a deal with Netflix where the latter had got the access to Khan’s past films as well as the upcoming ones. Recently, SRK, who is running busy with the promotions of his upcoming film ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’, has decided to take his association with them forward. He is planning to develop original content for the platform.

While talking about it to a leading daily, SRK has said, “We have plans to come up with original content, be it films or web series. My team is currently writing a few scripts. We’ll pitch it to Netflix when we are ready with some really good stories and content.” [sic] (Also Check: ‘JHMS’ new poster: Shah Rukh Khan’s Harinder gives a Punjabi twist to Anushka Sharma’s Sejal)

“As of now, we haven’t signed anything with them, except for the film deal. We will do something soon,” added the ‘Raees’ star. [sic]

Further, SRK added saying that it is Netflix’s shared vision of telling stories on a grand scale that attracted him to tie up with the company. He said, “Few people from Netflix came home for discussions, and I found them really warm. I realised we share a similar vision of telling a story in a beautiful way. So, it’s not just the monetary factor, but also how the platform brings a lot of value to each story. They want to do things in a grand way, which is something that is also my plan.” [sic]

Doesn’t that sound interesting? Let’s wait for more updates on it.

Talking about films, Shah Rukh Khan’s next ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’ stars him alongside Anushka Sharma. The film is slated for a release on August 4, 2017.
