Ram Charan playing the lead in Virat Kohli biopic? Here’s what we know

Bollywood has seen plenty of biopics in the past. While some have managed to become blockbusters, some didn’t do any wonders. Well, speaking of this, the latest buzz is that actor Ram Charan will do a biopic on former skipper Virat Kohli. Yes, you read that right! According to the latest report, a biopic on Virat Kohli will be made and Ram Charan will play him in the movie.

Is Ram Charan going to play Virat Kohli?

Reportedly, a big Bollywood production banner has pitched the idea to Ram. And he has already given a green signal to the project. But hold your horses, guys. According to the report in Pinkvilla, the RRR actor’s spokesperson revealed that he will not be doing the biopic. The representative also said he has no intention of playing the cricketer onscreen. Ram wants to focus on the other projects that he has committed before.

Interestingly, in March, Ram was asked if he aspires to play a cricketer onscreen or wants to be a part of a sports-themed movie. Charan said, “I’m eager to do a film based on any sport. It’s long overdue, maybe a sports-centric film.” Moreover, he was also asked if he would like to play Virat Kohli in a biopic. Ram said, “If given a chance, it will be fantastic.”

Virat Kohli is the former captain of the Indian national cricket team. He also plays for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the IPL. Kohli is considered to be one of the best cricketers in the world. In fact, he is widely regarded as one of the greatest batsmen in the history of the sport.

Ram Charan upcoming movies

Ram will be reuniting with Kiara Advani for Game Changer after working together in Vinaya Vidheya Rama. The movie is directed by S Shankar which is an upcoming political thriller. The actor will also team up with Uppena director Buchi Babu Sana for his 16th outing in Telugu cinema.
