Rishab Shetty learning new skills for Kantara 2

In 2022, Rishab Shetty came with a rooted story Kantara that turned out to be a blockbuster. It garnered love from the audience nationwide. With an exceptional performance delivered by the actor, the story succeeded in keeping the audience at the edge of their seats. Post Kantara’s grand success, the actor is coming up with a prequel where the story will revolve around backstory of the deity from the first part.

Rishab Shetty training for Kantara 2

The actor is putting his best foot forward for the prequel as it will be made on a grand scale. Rishab is undergoing immense training in horse riding as well as Kalaripayattu in its initial stage. The makers are yet to announce the key cast of Kantara 2. However, Rishab is coming together with composer Ajeesh Loknath along with cinematographer Arvind Kashyap. The filming for Kantara 2 will reportedly begin in September 2023.

On March 22 this year, the actor took to his Instagram handle on the occasion of Ugadi to announce the beginning of writing for Kantara 2. He captioned the post saying, “Happy Ugadi ! The beginning of writing.. Kantara writing begins!”

The success of Kantara

Kantara became a huge success on its release, becoming the second highest grossing Kannada film of all time. Not just this, it also turned out to be the third highest grossing film in India in the year 2022. The film received amazing response from the audience and film experts too. Kantara received positive comments for its strong visuals, storyline and narrative.

The audience is really excited for the prequel and have been expressing that enthusiasm since the film’s inception. The announcement for Kantara 2 received appreciative comments. One fan wrote, “Next Oscar nomination loading “, while another said, “Excitement Just Got Doubled. All The Best To U & The Whole Team.”

The excitement is building up for this massive blockbuster on its way. Kantara 2 will surely turn out to be another feather in Rishab’s cap.
