During the course of Bigg Boss OTT, the words anxiety and anxiety attack were heard a lot. Some used it to mock others while some were actually suffering from it. We had heard Bigg Boss OTT host Kara Johar even speak about the word being thrown around like it means nothing but a sheer medium of mockery. Shamita Shetty was one of the contestants who has suffered from depression and is battling anxiety as well. Shamita has often spoken about it as well. She was seen getting anxiety attacks in the house where she would try to calm herself down in every way possible. We sat for an exclusive chat with Shamita Shetty in which she opened up about battling anxiety and how she overcame it in the Bigg Boss house.

Shamita told Bollywood Bubble, “You can’t really control the external situation, I think what happens inside is what you need to firstly become aware about. That is the first step. I think with me I meditated a lot which really helped me but yes there were points where I really could not handle it. You know because I am somebody who actually can’t handle loud noises, I dont like people speaking loudly next to me, I move away naturally.”

The actress further added, “So for me, it was very very tough. Then your body, your mind, you kind of learn to just adapt naturally. As and when my anxiety attacks used to come, I had to really sit with myself and just pamper myself a little and luckily for me I had Neha Bhasin there who was so beautiful, she is such a lovely human being and she was just selflessly there for me.”
