Gauahar took to Instagram, sharing a series of videos expressing her disappointment and frustration. She pointed out how men often prove their ignorance on sensitive topics like menopause. Addressing Nikhil directly, she said, “I feel so sad for them that they don’t even know the basics of how sensitive this issue called menopause and perimenopause is and what women go through. And for someone like Nikhil Chinapa to mention that as a comeback to my viewpoints… it’s shocking.”

She clarified that her comments were solely about Nikhil’s performance in the game, not his personal life. Gauahar also mentioned that she has always respected him and spoken highly of him to her husband, Zaid Darbar, who is also a contestant on Alliance.

She further criticized Nikhil’s tendency to dismiss women’s opinions by linking them to hormones or age, saying, “You’re assuming that I’m at an age where I must be going through menopause or perimenopause, and that’s why I have those viewpoints. That is ridiculous.” Gauahar highlighted that she welcomed her child nine months ago, making it clear she is not experiencing menopause or perimenopause, and urged him to get his facts right.

Addressing women experiencing menopause and perimenopause, Gauahar stated they should never be made to feel their opinions are invalid because of their stage of life. She also called out Nikhil, saying he owes an apology to his wife and all women for not recognizing the sensitivity of the subject.

What Nikhil Chinapa Say?

The controversy began after Nikhil, in an interview with Telly Masala, discussed Gauahar’s social media posts supporting her husband Zaid Darbar during Alliance. Gauahar had previously accused Nikhil’s co-contestant Mini Mathur of bias towards Kushal Tandon, claiming that Nikhil and Mini were colluding rather than giving other contestants a fair shot.

In response to a question, Nikhil revealed he didn’t know Gauahar personally but had heard from Zaid that she thought highly of him. He then made a remark, saying, “Maybe Mini will know more about this because she deals a lot with menopause and perimenopause. So maybe she may have some insights on why Gauahar said whatever she said.” This comment was perceived as insensitive, prompting Gauahar’s strong response.
