Sharad Malhotra tests COVID positive, makers of show Vidrohi issue official statement

Sharad Malhotra, who features in the television show Vidrohi has tested COVID positive. The makers of the show issued an official statement. The makers of Vidrohi mentioned that Sharad Malhotra has tested COVID positive, even though he was not shooting for the TV show. The makers informed that Malhotra is receiving medical attention at the moment. The statement issued also informed that Sharad is under home quarantine, after his COVID diagnosis. The statement from the makers of Vidrohi even mentioned that the show sets have been fumigated and sterilized.

The official statement from Subrat Sinha & Bodhisattva, Producers, Gaatha Films, LLP read: “Actor Sharad Malhotra who is an integral part of the TV show Vidrohi has tested positive for COVID-19 today. Though he was not shooting with us for the past few days, as soon as he informed us, the entire cast and crew were tested.”

The statement from the makers further updated: “The BMC has been informed and the sets have been fumigated and sterilized as per the protocol.”

The makers shared a update on Sharad’s health and said: “Currently, Sharad is receiving medical attention and is under home quarantine. We are constantly in touch with the entire team as their health is our priority. We stand by our commitment to safety and will continue to ensure that all measures prescribed by the authorities are being adhered to.”

Earlier in the day, actress Erica Fernandes informed that she and her mother have tested positive for COVID-19. She made a post on her Instagram, informing that she and her mom are isolated and are seeking medical attention.

Meanwhile, The Kapil Sharma Show actress Sumona Chakravarti, Drashti Dhami, producer Ekta Kapoor are also among the few celebrities from the entertainment industry, who have contracted the virus.
