Lataa Saberwal is a well-known TV actress who played the role of Hina Khan’s mother in the popular show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. Her real-life husband, Sanjeev Seth, also acted in the same show as Hina’s father and Lataa’s on-screen husband. While working together on the show, Lataa and Sanjeev fell in love. In 2010, they got married in a simple and private ceremony.

The couple also has a son named Aarav. They had been married for 15 years. On June 21, 2025, Lataa shared on Instagram that she and Sanjeev had separated. Though it was a sad moment, Lataa’s message was calm and full of gratitude. She hopes people will not spread rumours and will let her family heal quietly. She thanked him for giving her their beautiful son and asked everyone to respect their privacy and let the family stay peaceful.

Lata took to Instagram and shared the news on social media shared, “After a prolonged silence, I declare that I Lataa Saberwal have been separated from my husband, Mr. Sanjeev Seth. I give my gratitude to him for giving me a lovely son. I wish him all the best for his future life.”

Lataa and Sanjeev became close during the show’s shooting in Udaipur. They spent a lot of time together, talking for hours and sharing personal things. Their relationship grew quickly, and Sanjeev once said they didn’t date for long because they both knew they wanted to get married. Sanjeev shared, “I decided that there is no time to wait as I am old enough. It was my second marriage. I thought that there is no time for any love affair and we should jump to the point.”

Before marrying Lataa, Sanjeev was married to actress Reshma Tipnis. She was only 20 when they got married, and there was a 12-year age gap between them. However, their marriage ended after 11 years.

Despite their separation, both Lataa and Sanjeev will remain loving parents to their son, Aarav.
