Aamir Khan could be working on his next movie project, and it might be based on a real-life crime. After the success of Sitaare Zameen Par, reports suggest that Aamir is deeply interested in the shocking Meghalaya murder case and may turn it into a crime thriller.
Aamir Khan To Turn Meghalaya Murder Case Into His Next Film
According to sources, Aamir has been closely following news about the case. He has reportedly discussed the details with his inner circle and may even produce a film inspired by it. However, it is still unclear whether he will act in the film or only produce it.
Right now, everything is still in the early planning stages. No actors have been chosen yet, and there has been no official announcement from Aamir Khan. The case itself is a disturbing one. A couple, Raja and Sonam, got married on May 11 in Indore and went on their honeymoon on May 20. Just three days later, they went missing near Sohra, about 65 kilometers from Shillong.
On June 2, Raja’s body was found in a deep gorge near Weisawdong Falls in Cherrapunji. He had been brutally murdered and dumped in the 200-foot-deep gorge. A week after that, police found Sonam in Uttar Pradesh. During questioning, she allegedly admitted to her husband’s murder. She also gave the names of her co-conspirators—Kushwaha and three hired killers: Vishal Chauhan, Anand Kurmi, and Akash Rajput. All of them were later arrested by Indore Police.
If Aamir Khan goes ahead with this film, it could shed light on a dark and tragic crime while creating a gripping cinematic experience.
