Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan File Lawsuit

Popular Bollywood actors Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan have taken legal action against Google and YouTube. The couple is upset about fake, AI-generated videos that have been shared online. These deepfake videos show false and inappropriate content made using artificial intelligence.

Aishwarya Rai And Abhishek Bachchan Take Google, YouTube

According to a report by Reuters, the actors are demanding about Rs 4 crore (around $450,000) in damages. They have also asked the court to stop such videos from being made or shared in the future.

The legal complaint includes hundreds of screenshots and video links. The couple says these videos are fake, offensive, and damage their image. They are especially worried that this kind of content can be used to train more AI models, spreading the false content even further.

The actors argue that YouTube allows users to give permission for their videos to be used in training AI models. This can lead to more deepfake content being created using their faces or voices.

The lawsuit also warns that if AI tools are trained on biased or harmful content, the wrong information about people can spread quickly. This not only hurts their image but also violates their rights. The Delhi High Court has asked Google’s lawyer to reply in writing before the next court date on January 15.

Abhishek Bachchan recently appeared in the film Kaalidhar Laapata, and he will soon be seen in King, directed by Siddharth Anand, alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan.
