Actress Isha Koppikar is busy shooting at Lucknow for her new Hindi film. From the lip-smacking food to the amazing people, Isha seems to go aww on everything about Lucknow. On the other hand, her little daughter whom she has left behind at home, is being badly missed. Amidst a hectic schedule and a thousand emotions, Isha shared her thoughts on something extremely crucial.

“I don’t think age is any barrier for an actor. I think it’s all about how you are. I don’t believe in following the herd, I believe in creating my own path. And I’ve always done that. I’ve done unconventional films – from ‘Girlfriend’ to ‘Pinjar’ to ‘Qayamat’. See, it’s not easy to do roles that are deglamorized because we actresses are so vain. We always worry about how we look. But that’s changing now and people are doing a lot of de-glam roles. For me, the script is the hero”- she says.

Bollywood is often not kind to actresses who are married; and it is tougher for those who have had children, taken breaks and aspire to make a comeback again. “Yes, maybe in the past, but now, I don’t think so. Bollywood is going through a great phase, especially in the last 4-5 years. Now, female lead and female centric films are being written and made. As for roles being offered to married female actors, in the end, it’s all about how you maintain yourself.”- the ‘Girlfriend’ actress states, in this context.

We hope the brainy beauty gets every bit of exposure she deserves, in her upcoming release!
