OMG 2: UNCUT version of Akshay Kumar starrer to have release on OTT

The Akshay Kumar starrer OMG 2 is creating a rave at the box office as it continues to grow. The netizens are mighty impressed with the unique storyline as well as the narrative. OMG 2 stars Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi, and Yami Gautam, all in essential roles.

OMG 2 was granted an ‘A’ (adults only) certification from the Central Bureau of Film Certification (CBFC). Despite this, the film is experiencing a stellar run at the box office. From delving into the sensitive subject of sex education to perfectly balancing humor and comedy, the film is successfully pulling crowds at the theaters.

OMG 2 uncut version to have an OTT release

OMG 2 is an Amit Rai-directed film. In a recent interview with PTI, the director opened up about the film. He said, “We are happy people have loved the film. The intent of the film was pure. Nobody wanted to titillate the audience, hence they liked it. We have dealt with it (the story) in a way that doesn’t sound vulgar. We talk about the reality, but in a sweet and humorous way.”

He has also said that the uncut/uncensored version of the film will release on OTT. He said, “We have decided that we will show the original film (on streaming), a film that the censor never wanted people to see, but… The public has seen the film and given their verdict. If the censor board doesn’t understand it, what do we say?”

The Amit Rai-directed film was released on 11 August and has already entered the 100-crore club. The film witnessed a clash with Sunny Deol starrer Gadar 2. Despite the clash, both films are earning very well at the box office and are receiving heaps of appreciation from netizens.
