Ayushmann Khurrana heads the pack for Border 2, with Ammy Virk and Ahan Shetty joining in? Find out

Sunny Deol starrer war drama Border was a commercially successful film. While the actor is currently basking in the success of Gadar 2, reports were rife that Border 2 is very much on the cards. While Sunny Deol rubbished the rumors of being a part of the film, reports were doing rounds that Kartik Aaryan had been approached for the role. As per recent reports, Ayushmann Khurrana will headline the sequel of the iconic film. Other than Ayushmann, Ammy Virk, and Ahah Shetty have also been approached for Border 2.

Ayushmann Khurrana, Ammyy Virk, and Ahan Shetty roped in for Border 2?

As per reports in a news portal, Ayushmann will be playing a pivotal role. This will be Ahan’s second film and Ammy Virk’s full-fledged Hindi film. Interestingly, Suniel Shetty was a part of Border, and if this turns out to be true it will be interesting to watch how promising Ahan will be.

While official details are yet to be out of the cast, a few days back, Nidhi Dutta cleared the air that no cast has been finalized yet. On her Twitter (now X), she wrote, “To all #Border2 Patriots! Excitement is brewing, but let’s clear the air. Rumors are swirling, but as of now, no cast is finalized. We share your eagerness & want to update you on every detail. Stay tuned for official news! Your enthusiasm fuels our journey! @TSeries #JPDutta.”

Reason Kartik Aaryan declined Border 2

Reportedly, the reason behind Kartik Aaryan declining the project is that what was penned on paper didn’t quite excite Kartik. The young star is also not keen on featuring in a multi-starrer project.

About Border

Border was a war film directed by JP Dutta. Set during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971, it is an adaptation of real life events that happened during the Battle of Longewala in 1971. Apart from Sunny, Border also starred Suniel Shetty, Akshaye Khanna, Jackie Shroff, and Pooja Bhatt among others.

While the leading lady of the film is not yet finalized, it will be interesting to see if the ensemble cast is able to carry the franchise successfully and set new records.
