Aamir Khan, who turned 49 on Friday, celebrated the occasion with his family members at home. He  said that though this year Holi is still a couple of days away, the actor says that he was actually born on Holi.

As per sources, Aamir Khan said, “I was born on Holi, and the nurse had put colours on my cheeks. I always celebrate Holi with my family members, especially with my maternal uncle. This Holi too I’ll be going to his place and celebrate.” The star says that while he doesn’t plan on partying this birthday but  will  indulge himself with his favourite food.

Regarding the allegations doing the rounds that the money received following his plea for donations on his show Satyamev Jayate, goes to the Humanity Trust which uses it for building masjids and assisting Muslim boys, Aamir clarifies that he is associated with the Humanity Trust based in West Bengal and not the other one, as has been alleged.

Aamir further added, “Yes! I do charge for my work. My profession is like any of you all. I work and get remuneration for my services. People will talk against you and about your honesty. However, I am only trying to bring in changes for the better through my show. We should never feel as though only we are being targeted by people and stop working towards our aim. Time will prove that those who talk against you were wrong.”
