After much speculation, it’s now confirmed — Cocktail 2 is set to go on floors this August. It will star a fresh trio leading the cast. 13 years after the original film’s release, director Homi Adajania returns to helm the romantic drama with Kriti Sanon, Shahid Kapoor, and Rashmika Mandanna stepping into the spotlight. This marks Kriti and Shahid’s second film together. This comes after their successful pairing in Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya in 2024.

On Friday, July 4, celebrity stylist Anaita Shroff Adajania gave fans a preview of Cocktail 2’s script. She shared through an Instagram Story, confirming the news. The post went viral very fast, essentially confirming the development of the movie. Kriti Sanon was spotted outside the Maddock Films office in Mumbai a few hours later. The excitement among fans grew even more.

A source told India Today, “Kriti has just wrapped Tere Ishk Mein, and she’ll begin shooting for Cocktail 2 in August. It’s a tight schedule, but she’s managing it all with ease and complete focus. She’s clearly one of the most in-demand actresses in the industry right now.”

The sequel is backed by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films and written by Luv Ranjan. While details about the plot are being kept under wraps, the makers are aiming for a theatrical release in the second half of 2026.
