Deepika Padukone REFUSED To Audition For The White Lotus Season 4 Amid Kalki 2, Spirit Exit Row- Report

Deepika Padukone will not be appearing in season 4 of The White Lotus. According to reports, the show’s creators approached her for season 4 and asked her to audition. However, the actress declined to audition for the role. Last year, Deepika was also replaced in Kalki 2 and Spirit. She is soon set to be seen in King and AA 22 X A6.

“Auditions are a mandatory part of the casting process for The White Lotus. The makers were very keen on auditioning actors before signing them on. Deepika was not keen on auditioning and that was the reason why the White Lotus opportunity had to be passed,” a source told Variety India.

It is also reported that the producers of The White Lotus had their eyes on Deepika for the series and had approached her for season three as well. However, she turned down the offer at that time due to her pregnancy. Had Deepika been cast in The White Lotus season 4, it would have marked her return to Hollywood. She made her Hollywood debut with xXx: Return of Xander Cage in 2017, sharing the screen with Vin Diesel, Donnie Yen, Kris Wu, Ruby Rose, Tony Jaa, Nina Dobrev, and Toni Collette, among others.

Deepika Padukone Not Part Of Kalki 2

Last year, the makers of Kalki 2 announced Deepika’s exit from the film’s sequel. They stated that her departure was due to the film’s need for full commitment. The official statement read, “This is to officially announce that @deepikapadukone will not be part of the upcoming sequel of #Kalki2898AD. After careful consideration, we have decided to part ways. Despite the long journey of making the first film, we were unable to find a partnership. A film like Kalki deserves that level of commitment and more. We wish her the best for her future projects.”

Deepika Padukone Removed From Spirit

Earlier, Sandeep Reddy Vanga also replaced Deepika in Spirit. Reports suggest that her demands—such as eight-hour workdays, a high salary, and a share in the film’s profits—did not sit well with the director. As a new mother, Deepika has been reportedly trying to balance her work and personal life by reducing her working hours. Following her exit, it was confirmed that Triptii Dimri would take on a role in Vanga’s upcoming film.
