Diljit Dosanjh’s Ex-Manager Sonali Singh Comes In Support Of Him

Sonali posted a detailed message on Instagram under the title “Always Choosing Love Over Hate” to support Diljit amidst the negative reactions. In her note, she highlighted Diljit’s two-decade-long career. She noted that he has become a cultural icon not just in India but globally. Sonali pointed out that, despite being targeted repeatedly as a proud Sikh, Punjabi, and Indian artist, he has always responded with love, unity, and kindness rather than outrage.

She described the criticism as “disheartening and unfair”. And reminds everyone that Sardaar Ji 3 was filmed long before the political climate worsened. Sonali also warned that boycotting a film not backed by a major corporate house could significantly impact its commercial success.

Sonali Elaborates On Diljit’s Decision

She further noted that Diljit’s decision could have a serious financial impact on the film. But she emphasised that he is prioritising the well-being of the producers, crew, and families connected to the project. And he is also respecting national sentiment. Sonali reflected on how it’s painful that while the global media celebrates Diljit’s achievements. It includes performing at Coachella, appearing on Jimmy Fallon with his traditional identity, and attending the Met Gala proudly representing his culture. He faces criticism back home.

She questioned whether people realise how much this hurts him. Sonali called for an end to this cycle of punishment. She urges everyone to stop scrutinising artists for simply being human, emphasising that Diljit’s only language has been love.
