Actor Shefali Shah continues to impress her fans and the audience with her stellar performances. The actress has wowed the audience with her performance in the web series Delhi Crime, Human, and many others. In her successful career now, Shefali has been busy breaking stereotypes by playing age-appropriate roles in her projects. And, Shah is all set to now win the hearts of her fans with the movie Jalsa where she plays a mother to a young girl. In an exclusive interview with us, Shah opened up about getting age-appropriate roles and shared why she doesn’t want to play a mother to someone older.

Shefali Shah told Bollywood Bubble, “I’m finally getting age-appropriate roles. And, I’m doing the kind of work I want to do. I wouldn’t have imagined, or earlier if you would’ve said that somebody after her 40s is going to come into her prime and play leads, or parallel leads, it would have been probably laughed at.

The Jalsa actress added, “Because, I didn’t start as a conventional, I never was the lead you know, but it’s changing now. And which is, touchwood, Thank God.

Talking about not wanting to play a mother on the screen, Shah said, “I don’t have a problem playing a mother. I am a mother of a 19 and 20-year-old.

The Jalsa actress added, “I just don’t want to play a mother to somebody who’s much older than me. Secondly, I don’t want to play a role which is just identified by the relationships she has. Which is what happens in our society. Women are recognized by the relationships they have.
