Here’s why Twinkle Khanna & Akshay Kumar were trolled for auctioning ‘Rustom’ uniform

Khiladi Akshay Kumar and his author-filmmaker wife Twinkle Khanna have always lent their support to various good causes. Few months back Akshay even launched an app ‘Bharat Ke Veer’ and a website which will financially help the families of the soldiers who lost their life while on field.

Continuing their charity work, three days back Twinkle Khanna took to her Instagram page and posted, “Using all the goodwill I have left to raise money for a good cause 🙂 Do bid folks! Yes, the actress-turned-author put the uniform which was worn by Akshay in ‘Rustom’ for auction. Even Akshay took to Twitter and wrote, “Hi all I’m thrilled to announce that you can bid to win the actual naval officer uniform I wore in Rustom! Auction’s proceeds will support the cause of animal rescue and welfare. Place your bid at https://www.SaltScout.com !”

However, both Twinkle and Akshay were trolled for demeaning the uniform which has so much pride and honour attached to it not only for the soldiers but also for their families.In fact, some of them even pointed out that the uniform wore by Akshay is just a piece of costume and not the actual uniform.

One of an enraged netizen even threatened to drag Twinkle to court for auctioning the costume in the garb of uniform. Check out his post below:
