How Sanjay Dutt turned into a storyteller for his own biopic. Details Inside!

Sanjay Dutt aka Sanju Baba’s life has been quite a roller-coaster ride. When Sanajy Dutt’s stardom was sinking, the duo of Rajkumar Hirani and Vidhu Vinod Chopra came in for his rescue by offering him films like ‘Munna Bhai MBBS’ and ‘Lage Raho Munna Bhai’. And that’s how the three are close to each other till date.

For the unaware, after a gap of almost 15 years, the trio is all set to work together for a movie on Sanjay Dutt’s life. Yet untitled, the film is being refered to as ‘Dutt’ biopic. Talking about the trio’s special association and overwhelmed with the proceedings of the film, Sanjay Dutt shared, “Vinod and Raju are like family to me. They have been an important part of my life. While we have worked together multiple times in the past, my involvement in our recent association has been very different”.

Lastly, in-the-pipeline film features Ranbir Kapoor as Sanjay Dutt. It also stars Anushka Sharma, Dia Mirza, Manisha Koirala, Paresh Rawal and Vicky Kaushal. Presented by Fox Star Studios, the film is co-produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Hirani and is slated to release on June 29.
