Hrithik Roshan Krrish 4 Rakesh Roshan

Krrish 4 remains one of the most anticipated Bollywood projects currently in development. Ever since Hrithik Roshan announced that he would not only star in the film but also direct it, excitement around the superhero franchise has continued to grow. However, recent reports suggested that the film had hit a roadblock due to an alleged disagreement between Hrithik Roshan and Aditya Chopra over the project’s budget. Now, veteran filmmaker Rakesh Roshan has reacted to the rumours and dismissed them completely.

Rakesh Roshan Breaks Silence On Krrish 4 Budget Rumours Surrounding Hrithik Roshan

Speaking to Mid-Day, Rakesh Roshan called the reports about Hrithik demanding a Rs 500 crore budget “nonsense.” The filmmaker denied claims that creative differences over the scale and budget of the film had stalled production.

He said, “It’s all nonsense that Hrithik has asked for a Rs 500 crore budget for top-tier VFX and world-class action for his directorial debut, while YRF [Yash Raj Films] wants to cap costs at Rs 350 crore. Making a good film catering to a [wide] audience takes time. Even I have taken time for each of my Krrish offerings.”

Rakesh Roshan further clarified that the delay has more to do with scheduling and Hrithik’s ongoing commitments rather than any conflict with the production house. “Krrish [Hrithik] is on another planet and we are all waiting for his dates,” he joked. Adding, “There are no issues; all is smooth. It’s teamwork between Adi, Hrithik, and me.”

The clarification came after a report by trade portal Sacnilk claimed that discussions between Hrithik Roshan and Yash Raj Films regarding the budget had delayed the project. According to the report, Aditya Chopra reportedly wanted to keep the film’s budget around Rs 350 crore, while Hrithik allegedly envisioned a much larger scale with a budget closer to Rs 500 crore for high-end VFX and action sequences.

However, Rakesh Roshan’s latest statement appears to dismiss those reports entirely.

Hrithik Roshan’s Recent Instagram Interaction

Interestingly, Hrithik recently grabbed attention for another social media post where he hinted that he wanted to explore darker and morally grey characters on screen. Sharing a picture of himself from Paris, the actor wrote: “Just got asked what’s the kind of role I’m looking for. And I surprised myself when it came to me. Remember Zaffar from Luck By Chance? That’s the one. I’d jump on something like that. But directors only wanna see me play the good guy. Sad.”

Soon after the post went viral, several fans flooded the comments section asking for updates on Krrish 4. One user wrote: “Posting everything but not posting any updates on Krrish 4, was not funny!” Several other fans also questioned the delay around the superhero film and urged the actor to officially announce fresh updates about the project.

About The Krrish Franchise

Krrish 4 also marks Hrithik Roshan’s directorial debut, making the project even more significant for the actor and the franchise. The Krrish franchise began with Koi… Mil Gaya in 2003 before evolving into one of India’s most successful superhero film series with Krrish and Krrish 3.
