Subhash Ghai took to Twitter and made an interesting revelation about the casting of his upcoming Khalnayak sequel.

Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri Dixit, and Jackie Shroff starrer Khalnayak is one of the most loved films. It was directed by Subhash Ghai and released on 6^th August, 1993. Now, a few days ago, Subhash Ghai had revealed that Khalnayak sequel is on the cards. Post that, there have been several rumours surrounding the casting of the sequel. On Thursday, Subhash Ghai took to his Twitter and revealed that they are yet to sign actors for the sequel. He also revealed that the film will not go on floors soon.

The filmmaker tweeted, “As reported in section of media let me clarify that mukta arts has not signed any actor for Khalnayak tho we have been working on its script for last three years with no immediate plan to go on floor. As now we r celebrating 30 years of Khalnayak with stars on 4^th Sept.”

In Khalnayak, Sanjay played the role of Balaram Prasad and won hearts with his performance. On the other hand, Madhuri essayed the role of Gangotri and Jackie was seen as Ram Kumar.

For the uninitiated, Sanjay, Madhuri and Jackie starrer Khalnayak completed 30 years of its release on 6^th August. To celebrate 30 years, the makers have decided to re-release the film on September 5.

Sanjay celebrates 30 years of Khalnayak

In June this year, Sanjay mistakenly celebrated 30 years of Khalnayak in June this year. The actor had shared a video on his Instagram along with the caption, “I want to congratulate Subhash ji one of the greatest directors of the Indian screen, Jackie dad for being the perfect Ram and Madhuri for being Ganga, and the entire cast and crew of Khalnayak, I am grateful and proud to be a part of such an iconic film.” He then thanked his fans for all the love.

Sanjay has interesting projects in the pipeline. The actor has Hera Pheri 3 along with Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal. Apart from this, Sanjay also has Gudhchadi.
