Jiah Khan death mystery: Sooraj Pancholi collects the charge sheet, hearing to follow

The Bombay High Court relieved Salman Khan in his Hit and Run case, but his young follower Sooraj Pancholi might land up in some trouble soon pertaining to Jiah Khan’s suicide case. Jiah Khan, who was reportedly Sooraj Pancholi’s ex-girlfriend, was found hanging from a ceiling fan in her apartment on June 3, 2013. After which, Aditya Pancholi’s son Sooraj Pancholi was charged with abetment to suicide on the basis of six-page long suicide letter written by Jiah.

It’s been two years now since Jiah was found dead in her apartment and a latest update on this case which made it the headlines was that the CBI has filed a charge sheet over the same. This charge sheet has reportedly given some intricate details about the Jiah – Sooraj’s relationship and the abortion that left an emotional scar on the actress. Following this, reports now suggest that Sooraj Pancholi, who has been charged under Section 306 of IPC by CBI, has collected the Charge sheet from the court and the hearing for the same has been slated on January 18, 2016.

If the evidence presented by the CBI proves Sooraj guilty then Sooraj could be sentenced to jail for approximately 10 years and a fine.This is the kind of punishment given to a person charged under Section 306 of IPC, which deals with Abetment to suicide. After Jiah Khan’s death, Sooraj had to face a 23 days ordeal in jail after which he was granted bail.
